Cash prizes totaling a minimum of $25,000 will be awarded by WFN judges and an additional $5,000 cash prize will be awarded to the Junior Judges’ favorite Fast Pitch company. The group will also gain visibility and exposure to leading early-stage venture capitalists, angel investors and business executives who are judging the event and attending the virtual pre-pitch Springboard Enterprises Dolphin Tank® with Women Founders Network on August 20th, and a private invitation-only event on September 22nd.

We are excited to see them pitch in October at our virtual event that could not have been made possible without the support of our sponsors, such as our presenting sponsor Union Bank and our Junior Judges sponsor 33 Capital.”

About the Junior Judges Program and Women Founders Foundation

Since 2014, the Junior Judges program of the Women Founders Network Fast Pitch has educated more than 90 girls in grades 6-12 about entrepreneurship through interactive online reading assignments, workshops teaching the fundamentals of business, and their participation in the annual WFN Fast Pitch Event as “venture capitalists for a day” to vote for their favorite company and present a sponsored cash award to their winner. The Junior Judges walk away from the experience feeling confident, inspired, and motivated, knowing there is a strong community of women available to support them in achieving their goals.

The Junior Judges Program is overseen by the Women Founders Foundation (WFF), which seeks to provide young women with the confidence, knowledge, and skills needed to build a business from the ground up, across all industries with an emphasis on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields. We would like to thank our Women Founders Foundation Sponsors Silicon Valley Bank, 33 Capital and UCLA Anderson.
