Jade Tran is a Senior Vice President on the Technology team for Banc of California’s Venture Banking Group. Jade joined Pacific Western Bank in early 2023, and came to Banc of California during the merger in November 2023. She works closely with venture-backed startups and the investors who believe in them, and is passionate about connecting high-achieving innovators with the resources they need to scale and outperform expectations. She has spent most of her career in the technology and startup space, where she has held roles in venture capital, operations, and executive leadership.

Prior to joining Pacific Western Bank, she joined the senior leadership team of the technology startup Honey, developing its employee engagement program, developing career development initiatives, and building an international new hire onboarding program. While she was at Honey, the company doubled its headcount, before being acquired in a $4B acquisition by PayPal in 2019. Jade started her career in technology as Director of Platform at DFJ/DFJGrowth and later supporting emerging funds in the Bay Area and Los Angeles.

Jade is also a first year delegate of the Australian American Leadership Dialogue’s Young Leadership Dialogue, a private diplomatic effort between the two nations. An avid surfer, she lives in Los Angeles, California, and is devoted to her rescue dog, Cricket. Jade received a B.A. and M.A. in Art History at Ohio State University.
