Fellows Program

The Fellows Program engages college and university women, and introduces them to the world of investing and entrepreneurship. Participants gain real-world, resume-building experience!

After the WFN Fast Pitch finalists are chosen in July, each team of fellows and their mentor will be assigned a finalist company to analyze for its investment potential and prepare a due diligence report, which they will present to the Junior Judges and Fast Pitch Judges. The mentors will be women angels and venture capitalists.

A $250 stipend will be provided to all Fellows at program completion.

2022 University Fellows Program
Applications for 2022 are closed.  Please join our mailing list to be notified when applications open for 2023.

Application Criteria

We welcome any female student who is currently enrolled in college to apply to the program. Undergrad and business school students are encouraged to apply. We value diversity, equity, and inclusion in all of our programs.

Students may reside anywhere in the United States. However, any in-person events will take place in the greater Los Angeles, California, region and students outside this area wishing to attend live events will need to cover their own travel expenses. Instructional sessions and mentor meetings will take place virtually.

  • August 10: Springboard Enterprises Dolphin Tank with WFN - Fellows are expected to attend the event (live or virtually) to see the finalists pitch. They will have an opportunity to meet with their assigned founder after the event to ask questions for their due diligence report.

  • October 25: WFN 10th Annual Fast Pitch – Fellows are invited to attend, either live or virtually.

There is no fee to participate if students are accepted into the program, which covers all expenses including one ticket to the Fast Pitch event in October. Due to the confidential nature of the program materials, all chosen Fellows will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

Participants will need a reliable internet connection and device to participate in the program. We strongly encourage participating in virtual meetings with a web camera so we can create as authentic an experience as possible! Once accepted into the program, Fellows will be notified and sent a welcome packet via email.
