Lynn launched and leads Davis Wright Tremaine’s Project W, an initiative with a single-minded goal of helping women build and lead the next generation of billion-dollar companies. Drawing on her 35+ years of experience as an M&A and corporate finance lawyer and as a leader at law firms and nonprofits, Lynn works with a devoted group of women at DWT who share a vision of a future where more companies are led by women. Project W tackles the problem of lack of funding and access for female founders through a multi-faceted approach. Programs like those described in Project W’s 2020 Impact Report and the Tech Equity Hub, an accelerator for pre-seed stage Black and Latinx female founders of technology companies to be launched in Summer 2021, provide historically underrepresented founders with the resources, introductions and tools necessary to scale their businesses. Project W communities throughout the country bring together women who are disrupting industries -- media/entertainment, healthcare, financial services and cloud computing – to build the relationships necessary for women to become the leaders and influencers in those sectors. And, Project W is increasingly focused on empowering the next generation of female investors at all stages, from angels to fund managers. Through Project W’s own programs and networks and through collaborations with valued partners like Springboard Enterprises, Black Women Talk Tech, digitalundivided, Black and Brown Founders, Women Founders Network and Female Founders Alliance, Lynn and her team are committed to unleashing the power of women. In addition to her work through Project W, Lynn is personally committed to the success of female founders and is an active investor in women-led companies and venture funds that invest in women and people of color.
