Candace Bond McKeever is CEO of Aesa Inc., a small, diversified minority owned organization specializing in a full array of government and community relations, project management services, marketing  and strategic  management consulting. Aesa  Inc. provides these services for a diverse and demanding client base including corporations and non-profits, federal, state and local municipal entities.

Most recently, Ms. Bond McKeever has worked and advised on a number of landmark infrastructure projects in the City and County of Los Angeles including the  LADWP Silver Lake Reservoir Replacement Project, the  Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension Intermodal Parking Facilities Project, the 1200 Figueroa (Circa) Project, and  the Oceanwide Plaza Project in downtown Los Angeles.  She currently serves as Chair of the MLK Health and Wellness Community Development Corporation which oversees the revitalization of the 42 acre MLK Medical Campus in South Los Angeles.

With over 25 years of experience as a business development specialist, Ms. Bond McKeever has been retained by leading corporations and non-profits to assist in their overall strategic development. She recently served as Co-Chair for the Television Academy’s Diversity Committee as well as Vice President and General Manager of Essence Entertainment and Vice President of Motown Record Co.  She also works with diverse clients in the fields of education technology and distance learning to various firms in the financial technology sector focused on community lending and mortgage servicing and on line auction services.  She has also worked on several nationwide educational initiatives with HUD’s Fair Housing division.

Ms. Bond McKeever received her A.B. with honors from Harvard University and her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in Cambridge, MA. She recently received her Executive Management degree in Sustainability from the Presidio Graduate School in San Francisco, CA and successfully completed the USC Ross Minority Program in Real Estate.

Most recently she was appointed by California State Treasurer, Fiona Ma to her Housing, Economic Development, Jobs and Opportunity Zones Ad Hoc Committee.  She also serves on the Board of Trustees for Charles Drew University, the Southern California Edison Consumer Advisory Panel, the Malibu Foundation and is a team member for the UNESCO Early Childhood Development Chair at Georgetown University.  Most recently she served as a member of the Los Angeles County Board of Education serving over 2 million children and families in Los Angeles County.  She was also involved in the launch of the Los Angeles County Bioscience initiative to make the industry an economic development priority in the region.  For her public service she was selected as the 2014 Los Angeles County Commission’s Woman of the Year for her work in advancing community health care in South Los Angeles. She was also honored by the Special Needs Network for her service to the community of South Los Angeles. She also had the honor of serving as an appointee to President Obama’s Advisory Committee to the Kennedy Center.
